FAQ

Selection of AGV battery

There are various choices of AGV batteries, so how can we choose the most suitable, performance, safety and other batteries for AGV equipment? Let's first understand the advantages and disadvantages of various batteries and compare them with each other.

1. Lead acid battery, as the earliest AGV battery, its technology has been very mature. The types can be divided into water added lead-acid battery and maintenance free lead-acid battery. Water added lead-acid battery is a relatively common battery, which usually needs to be maintained by adding water, but harmful gases will be generated in the charging process, which is rarely used at present. Maintenance free lead-acid battery, the difference is that it does not need to add water to maintain.

2. Lithium iron phosphate battery is the mainstream battery in the market today, which can support high rate charge and discharge, and has the function of fast charge. Compared with lead-acid battery, it has the advantages of higher energy density, lighter weight and volume, long service life and no pollution. However, due to the unstable internal chemical reaction of its battery, it is lower in safety and higher in price than lead-acid battery.

3. Ternary lithium battery has the highest energy density among these batteries, but its safety performance is lower than that of lithium iron phosphate battery, and it does not support multiple charge and discharge, has no fast charge function, and the price is higher.

From the advantages and disadvantages of the above three AGV batteries, we can see that lithium iron phosphate battery has the highest cost performance.
